How do magnetic power generators compare with wind power generators. Both produce free electricity, but there the similarity ends. A wind power generator, or wind turbine harnesses the power of wind to operate a small turbine which generates electricity. It therefore depends on the resource of wind. On the other hand magnetic power generators do not depend on any other source to generate free electricity.

Lets look at the wind turbine first. It is possible to cut your electricity bill by 50% if you build a wind turbine. What are the requirements?

1. Find the Wind speed at your location. ( this needs to be in the region of 5 to 6 metres per second).
2. Planning permission. You may need planning permission if you are erecting a wind turbine away
from your house.
3. Clear exposure to the wind. You need to ensure that there are no obstructions such as trees or other buildings.

The magnetic power generator has none of these requirements. It takes up little space and can be put in a corner of your garage. It does not depend on any other source, and once started with a battery it runs by itself indefinitely.

What does each cost to build? Each requires a manual and in each case they can be found online for less than $50. The components for each can be found anywhere in the world in a local hardware store and each device costs around $100 to built.

The Savings in electricity bills for a wind turbine are from 50% to 80% and with magnetic power generators from 30% to 50%. In each case if you build a large enough system you can eliminate your electricity bill altogether. The choice comes down to location really. If you do not live in an area where there is sufficient wind then the magnetic power generator may be more suitable. The idea of being able to generate free electricity is I am sure appealing to you.
